Our roots are as corporate and public events producers. After more than 20 years designing and producing award-winning events, we found that furnishing event spaces had become an increasingly important part of designing successful events. Our clients wanted creative, branded environments and were done with hotel bar counters, linen-covered folding tables and stacking chairs.
Today, from our locations in Vancouver and Winnipeg with our affiliates in Ontario and Quebec, we serve our clients’ event and VIP hosting needs nationally. Come visit our showroom and learn how we can help WOW your guests at your next event!

It’s every planner’s worst nightmare. Two months before your biggest event of the year, your venue unexpectedly closes. In early 2017, the nightmare came true for Carly Silberstein. The CEO of Redstone Agency stumbled across a media article reporting a popular venue was closing its doors – despite having a client event on their books. Suddenly finding herself without a venue for one of Redstone’s biggest client events, the planner scrambled to find a new suitable venue, gather new catering and AV quotes from in-house preferred suppliers, update marketing materials, and communicate the change to registered guests. All this unexpected work required time and money neither Carly nor her client had budgeted. More important, it jeopardized the event’s success. Join Heather Reid of Planner Protect Inc., to learn about this real-life example and how this situation could have been prevented or at the very least mitigated. Heather analyzes the contract at the root of the event, and shares what Redstone could have done at the contract stage to reduce risks for themselves and their client. Events are risky – but you don’t have to bear all the risk! Know your rights and ensure that – if your venue does “vanish” – you survive with your budget, your relationships, and your reputation intact!
Heather Reid is the Founder and CEO of Planner Protect Inc. Planner Protect brings together Heather’s 24+ years of expertise as an entrepreneurial event and conference planner, and her unique zeal for digging deep into the language and intricacies of venue contracts! With more than 300 venue contracts reviewed for clients and over $8 million savings in avoided risks – Planner Protect has quickly become the Canadian go-to resource for venue contract education and negotiation support in the events industry. Heather was recognized as the Industry Innovator in the Meetings & Incentive Industry’s Canadian Hall of Fame in 2017.
